Commandments # 01 & # 03 are below
COMMANDMENT #01 – THE TWO-BREATH DRILL
When engaged in any situation involving communication, simply take two-breaths before you speak. Ask yourself, “Is what I am about to say going to add value?”
If the answer is no, don’t say it. We are here to add value. If you aren’t adding value then what are you doing?
- What relationships in your life would improve if you practiced the two-breath drill?
- What can you do to remember to use this valuable drill?
- How else could you utilize the two-breath drill?
COMMANDMENT #03 – RESPONSIBILITY
The word responsibility breaks down to “respond with your ability.” Whenever you are in a highly emotional setting, you must remember that you do not owe anyone a response in that moment. Practice the Two-Breath Drill and step away from any situation until you can “respond with your ability.” Our abilities include kindness, love, patience, empathy, and compassion. We must always use our words in a manner that will breathe life into another.
- Is what you are about to say going to give you a clear conscience and peace at the end of the day?
- How will your life change for the better by embracing the wisdom of what the word responsibility truly means?
